DENVER (KDVR) -- A man is accused of animal cruelty after six horses were found malnourished in Parker.On July 20, deputies and Animal Law Enforcement officers received an anonymous animal abuse call, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. When they arrived at the home in the 12300 block of Piney Lake Road, they could see the rib cages and hip bones of six horses. DENVER (KDVR) -- Starting Aug. 7, people who are under the age of 21 will not be able to buy any firearms in the state of Colorado.Federal law already restricts anyone under 21 from buying handguns, but the new law restricts the purchase of any firearm in Colorado to people who are 21 or over.Colorado's 21-and-up gun lawThe law makes purchasing a gun when you're under 21 years old punishable by up to one year in jail or a $1,000 fine. Anyone who sells or transfers a firearm to someone under 21 could be punished with up to 18 months in jail or a $5,000 fine.There are some exceptions to the law. Americans left their jobs in record numbers in 2021 and 2022 in a pandemic-era trend dubbed the "Great Resignation.” Wages climbed, particularly in low-paying industries, as employers struggled to attract and retain workers.
