Would you pay $47 for a burger with a Lego bun? Here’s your chance!

Fans love Lego, as is evidenced by Legoland in Florida and California, the giant, still enormously popular Lego store at the Mall of America, and its general proliferation in toy aisles. So Brick Burger, a pop-up that will sell burgers with Lego brick-shaped buns for just two days in December in Minneapolis, should be a no-brainer.But would you pay $47 for one of these gimmicks? That’s what a ticket costs, and although it includes one beverage (beer, wine or soft drink), this could be record-setting as far as a burger price in the Twin Cities.A news release informs us that the burger is “a unique twist on a timeless classic” and that the pop-up, which will run out of an undisclosed storefront on Lyndale Avenue South, will offer “an unparalleled dining experience for families and burger enthusiasts alike.”Options include beef, veggie or chicken filet, and of course there will be Lego everywhere — Lego-brick walls, Lego-themed furniture and a brick-building station. Is this how yo...98.3 TRY Social Dilemma: My Husband Seems to Get Angry At the Smallest Things

Here's the dilemma: Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Hi Jaime. I have a problem with my husband and I'm hoping for some good advice. When I met my husband and then married him more than 17 years ago, he was a positive person who rarely got upset about things. Over the years, he’s become easily agitated. He doesn’t usually get mad at me or anything that I do, but every other little problem just sets him off. It’s like he can’t even enjoy life anymore. I’m sad for him, but I don't know what to do. He swears he's a happy guy, but I know he's not. It's hard to be around him being so negative all the time. I feel like it's bringing me down. I'm thinking of separating from him, but I'm worried he'll really go downhill if that happens. What would you do? Hope you can helpCarsonWow, this is tough. I think Carson needs to have a heart-to-heart...DEC: Injured hiker carried over a mile to ambulance

Published Mon, 23 Dec 2024 15:04:33 GMT
Dear Amy: I have trouble insulating myself from the anxiety caused by my young adult sons’ life issues. They are 21 and 26 years old.I’ve done what I could as a mom to raise independent adults. They are doing well for the most part (the younger still in college), but we are close and they confide in me. This can really send me into a tailspin. Our older son has chosen a lifestyle that is built around being outdoors, but his work can be sporadic and he can be very scattered.I believe he may have some depression and doesn’t always take his meds for his ADHD. But I’m glad he confides in me, and I prompt him to take care of himself. Our younger son has chosen an extremely competitive academic and professional path. He seems to have built in good options for himself, but recently he had a fender bender in the car, and I worry about him.My anxiety about my sons really impacts me on a daily basis, and is not healthy. (My husband does not worry like this.)I worry about their futures and their...Russians take language test to avoid expulsion from Latvia

In a Stalinist-style skyscraper that dominates the skyline in Latvia's capital city, dozens of elderly Russians await to take a Latvian language exam as a sign of loyalty to a nation where they have been living for decades. The participants, mostly female, read through their notes to make any last-minute revisions. They feared they would be expelled if they failed. The war in Ukraine has changed the situation. The election campaign of last year was dominated with questions about national identity and concerns over security.Dimitrijs Trofimovs is the state secretary of the Interior Ministry. He said that the government has now demanded a language exam from the 20,000 Russian passport holders in the country, most of whom are elderly women. The loyalty and commitment to Russia among Russian citizens was a concern."I would be deported if I was to leave, as I've lived here for over 40 years," said Valentina, a 70-year-old former English teacher, Riga guide, and Riga native, after her last ...Bay Area family wins big on Family Feud

A concoction of luck and tequila may be the de Alba family’s recipe for reality television success. That’s how Jesus de Alba, a longtime Vallejo resident, ended up on last week’s airing of Family Feud, which featured him and his four siblings — the first time, Jesus said, Vallejo has been represented on the show. The de Alba siblings competed as a team under the direction of their mother. Jesus says mom wanted all of her children to be on a television show episode she could rewatch and come back to. Her children, in return, said they would give any earned money toward buying her a new home.To that end, the de Albas won $20,000.“It couldn’t have gone better considering how little we prepared,” said Jesus.Jesus said his family applied for the show on a whim — his sister drunkenly stumbled on the application last year and applied online without giving it further thought. She didn’t tell her siblings and mother until a month later, when she received a response inviting the family for prel...Trial, prelim set for Martinez man charged with 2 fatal shootings

As sea level rise threatens to inundate hundreds of homes, cut off roads and swallow the sands of Stinson Beach, Marin planners and town residents are preparing a new defense plan in an effort to save the popular coastal destination.Bordered by both the Pacific Ocean and Bolinas Lagoon, the town of about 500 residents is in the vanguard of Marin communities most vulnerable to rising ocean waters.Residents such as Jeff Loomans, who has owned a home in the town for 13 years, said the future their community faces is driven home by recent incidents such as the January winter storms that battered homes, broke pilings, flooded roads and washed away tons of sand.“I would say sea level rise is already here. It’s not something that is just coming,” said Loomans, who also serves on the Stinson Beach Village Association’s sea level rise committee.Marin County planners recently completed a six-month effort to update its sea-level rise projections that were first developed in 2016.The results sh...California man convicted of deadly Thanksgiving day road rage shooting
