Update: Altamont reopened as of 5:30 a.m. on WednesdayROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A portion of Altamont Avenue in the town of Rotterdam closed Tuesday evening for several downed electrical poles. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Around 3:10 p.m., a car crashed into a power pole in the area of Rensselaer Avenue and Altamont Avenue. Police said the damaged pole broke and fell, which caused several other poles to fall in the area of Altamont Avenue. Fire crews also responded for vehicles on fire and spilled oil on the road.Altamont Avenue between Crane Street and Amsterdam Avenue is expected to be closed through Wednesday morning. HIGHLAND, Ill. - Three people are dead after a Greyhound bus crash on Interstate-70 in Highland, Illinois, early Wednesday morning.The crash took place on I-70 westbound near the 'Silverlake West' Rest Stop, where crews shared that the crash took place around 2:00 a.m., and a Greyhound traveling from Indianapolis, Indiana to St. Louis crashed into three parked rigs on the exit ramp heading to the rest area.The Illinois State Police confirmed that four passengers on board were taken to a nearby hospital via helicopter, 10 more passengers were driven to area hospitals, and three more riders died. 3 killed, several injured in Greyhound bus crash One lane on I-70 WB is open, but drivers are urged to take Highway 40 WB as an alternate route. Denver opted to renew its cable television franchise with telecommunications company Comcast Corp. through the end of 2028.With the previous franchise set to expire this December, the city recently renewed its franchise for another five years, said marketing and communications manager Gaelina Tesfaye at Denver Technology Services, the city’s technology department. The new expiration is now scheduled for December 2028.Comcast has bore the brunt of criticism in recent years as its Denver customers have been forced to forgo watching the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets since 2019.
