By Josh Funk and Trisha Ahmed | Associated PressPRINSBURG, Minn. — A train hauling ethanol and corn syrup derailed and caught fire in Minnesota early Thursday and hundreds of nearby residents were ordered to evacuate their homes, authorities said. The BNSF train derailed in the town of Raymond, roughly 100 miles (161 kilometers) west of Minneapolis, around 1 a.m., according to a statement from Kandiyohi County Sheriff Eric Tollefson. This latest derailment happened as the nation has been increasingly focused on railroad safety after last month’s fiery Norfolk Southern derailment that prompted evacuations in East Palestine, Ohio, near the Pennsylvania border.Residents in that town of about 5,000 remain concerned about lingering health impacts after officials decided to release and burn toxic chemicals to prevent a tank car explosion. State and federal officials maintain that no harmful levels of toxic chemicals have been found in the air or water there, but residents remain uneas...Priyanka Chopra froze eggs before meeting Nick Jonas, worried she’d never find Mr. Right

Like a lot of women who choose to freeze their eggs, Priyanka Chopra was in her early 30s, focused on her career and worried she’d never find a partner to marry and with whom to start a family.“I hadn’t met the person I wanted to have children with,” the 40-year-old Indian actor shared on Monday’s episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast, Page Six reported. Chopra always knew she wanted to have children but also was aware that she was reaching the biological threshold of age 35, when a woman’s fertility takes a steep dive. That’s before she met and starting dating future-husband Nick Jonas in 2018.In the interview, Chopra said she decided to freeze her eggs after her mother, an OB-GYN, told her to “just do it.” When Chopra finally met her Mr. Right, she admitted she was initially worried about the 10-year age gap, thinking that Jonas, only 25 at the time, would be too young to consider starting a family.“I always knew I wanted kids, which was one of the big r...WATCH: Aaron Judge drills first-inning homer vs. SF Giants on Opening Day

It only took two pitches in his 2023 season for Aaron Judge to provide the San Francisco Giants a reminder of what could have been.Judge drilled a Logan Webb sinker over the center field wall for a homer in the first inning, giving the Yankees an early lead and making Giants fans miserable before 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time. It’s the first game since the 2022 American League Most Valuable Player was heavily pursued by the Giants as a free agent. After an erroneous report initially had Judge signing with San Francisco, the outfielder re-signed with the Bronx Bombers on a nine-year, $360 million deal.Judge discussed his free agency before Thursday’s game, saying the talks with the Giants organization were “great” but ultimately not enough to sway him to leave New York, where he hit 62 home runs last year and is now the first Yankee captain since Derek Jeter.“I met a lot of great people with the Giants, it’s a great organization that I’ve followed since I was a kid,” Judge said. “It was kin...The last time the Athletics won the world series was in 1989. In 1989 manager Tony La Russa and the Oakland Athletics swept the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. That battle of two Bay Area teams is remembered as the "Earthquake Series." On Oct. 17, 1989, the Loma Prieta earthquake struck before the start of game three of the series, damaging parts of Candlestick Park in San Francisco, where the game was being played, and postponing the game. Oakland A’s ballpark ranked worst in U.S. Moving forward, that 1989 series may have the distinction of being memorable for another and utterly different reason. The Athletics' 1989 World Series win could represent the team's last world championship in Oakland."I really wanted to win here," said Billy Beane, played by Brad Pitt in the 2011 film Moneyball. That film tells the tale of the 2001 Athletics and their quest to use advanced analytics to overcome financial discrepancies and put a championship team on the Network Associates Coliseum field in Oakland.
