Upbeat on the Roof concert series returns to Skidmore SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College has announced the return of their Upbeat on the Roof concert series. The first performance is set for July 6. St. Louis clerk tells armed robber that he didn't pay enough for his cigarettes ST. LOUIS -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of using a gun to steal a pack of cigarettes.The man went into the Phillips 66 located at the intersection of Jefferson and Gravois at around 1 p.m. Thursday, June 29, and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk told the man the price he took out a small pistol and several dollars from his cross-body bag. The man the placed the money on the counter. Ameren customers still without power in Missouri and Illinois after weekend storms The clerk told the man that he did not leave enough money, according to St. Louis Police. The man gestured with his gun and told the clerk that the money on the counter was all he had and left.The clerk later told his manager about the incident. Firework explodes on Illinois man's face; critical condition LAKE COUNTY, Ill. — A man is in critical condition after a firework exploded on his face Sunday night in unincorporated Cary.At around 9:15 p.m., authorities responded to a residence in the 24400 block of Hickory Nut Grove Road on the report of a person seriously injured by a firework.Officers arrived and found a 58-year-old man in and out of consciousness.Police believe the man was detonating numerous commercial-rated fireworks for a party.At some point, a firework did not discharge as expected after it was lit. Police said the man looked into the tube and the firework discharged, striking and exploding on contact with his face.The man sustained major injuries to the head and became unconscious. He was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in critical condition. Clydesdales circle Wrigley Field for ‘Folds of Honor’ Criminal charges are possible, police said.

Man arrested following 'random' violent assault in Baldwin Park A suspect seen on video punching a man in Baldwin Park last month was arrested over the weekend, authorities said.The incident occurred around 7:23 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, at Lubican Street near Merced Avenue, according to the surveillance video posted to the Baldwin Park Police Department's Instagram page and the BPPD's Lt. DA to seek death penalty in deputy's killing in Lake Elsinore Prosecutors announced Monday that they plan to seek the death penalty for Jesse Ceazar Navarro, who allegedly shot and killed Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy Darnell Calhoun in Lake Elsinore earlier this year.The Jan. 13 shooting in the 18500 block of Hilldale Lane killed the 30-year-old Calhoun. Attempted kidnapping suspect arrested in La Cañada A man who was wanted for attempted kidnapping and human trafficking was arrested in La Cañada Flintridge Sunday morning, officials said.Around 8:50 a.m. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were alerted of a felony suspect through a public safety operating system named Flock Safety.The vehicle and the driver were apparently wanted in connection with the attempted kidnapping and trafficking case, officials said.A deputy spotted the vehicle and requested back up.
