Pedestrian dies in hospital after early-April collision in downtown San Jose A woman critically injured in an April collision in downtown San Jose died of her injuries after three weeks in a hospital, according to San Jose police.Police responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle around 11:49 a.m. April 9 in the area of East Santa Clara and North 11th streets. Police said that the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by the driver of a Toyota Camry, which had been turning left onto East Santa Clara Street from North 11th Street.The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died Monday, according to a police news release.
