RICHMOND, B.C. — Police in Richmond, B.C., say multiple charges have been laid against a 34-year-old man allegedly involved in a September 2022 home invasion where thieves made off with $10 million in cryptocurrency. Richmond RCMP say the “lengthy and complex investigation” began after thieves impersonating police officers broke into a home and tied up a middle-aged couple, assaulting them and confining them for hours.Mounties say the armed suspects made off with $10 million in unspecified cryptocurrency and luxury goods, leaving the “badly shaken up” victims with non-life-threatening injuries.Chief Supt. MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. — Three men were charged Thursday after being taken into custody following an attempted armed robbery of a southwest suburban liquor store Wednesday, according to the Midlothian Police Department (MPD).From left-to-right, 52-year-old Lourenzie Conner, 53-year-old Gentree Mcelroy, and 35-year-old Michael D. A woman was killed and her child was hospitalized Thursday after a driver crashed into a group of pedestrians near a bus stop in the Manchester Square neighborhood of Los Angeles.The child and a third person are currently in critical condition, officials said. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of W. 83rd Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.A man, woman and the child, possibly an infant, were all transported to a regional trauma center by LAFD paramedics.Around 5 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department officials confirmed that one of the victims died from their injuries. Police later said the woman was killed, adding that she was the child's mother. The collision involved two vehicles, police said. One vehicle was exiting a private lot when it was struck by another vehicle. The first vehicle then crashed into the pedestrians who were on the sidewalk "at or near" a bus stop, authorities said. FAIRFAX, Calif. (KRON) – Homebound seniors nationwide are being delivered Thanksgiving feasts by Meals on Wheels during the holiday. In the North Bay, the effort is organized by a non-profit called Vivalon. Greg Schreader lined up to pick up a Thanksgiving delivery for the sixth year in a row. He is one of the many volunteers with Meals on Wheels who is bringing a few of the 160 turkey dinners to older adults in Marin County.
