Two charged in mid-Missouri deer poaching case

COLE COUNTY, Mo. - Two people face criminal charges in a mid-Missouri deer poaching case. Officials say they are accused of killing six deer illegally. The Missouri Department of Conservation shared about these charges Friday in an ongoing investigation. Officials revealed several weapons and suspicious items connected with the case. Arrest made in deadly Clayton shooting Investigators say an MDC agent in Cole County first discovered several poached deer while patrolling Binder Park near Jefferson City. The agent had responded to several calls about poaching concerns. The MDC says several deer had been shot and dumped on the public trails in October. The Cole County Sheriff's Office was also called to investigate the series of incidents, which recently led to the arrests of two suspects. Interstate 70 eastbound reopened over Vail Pass after a single-vehicle rollover closed the highway for more than two hours, according to the Colorado State Patrol.Two people were injured in the crash, and at least one person sustained serious injuries, Master Trooper Gary Cutler said. A Laguna Beach man arrested in the death of 27-year-old Tatum Goodwin used a fire extinguisher to kill her, prosecutors alleged in a new court filing on Friday.The body of Goodwin, who lived in San Clemente, was discovered in an alleyway off the 200 block of Ocean Avenue, behind Carmelita’s restaurant where she worked, on Nov. 12.Dino Rojas-Moreno, 26, of Laguna Hills was arrested on Wednesday and charged with Goodwin’s slaying. He worked as a bartender at Laguna Beach's Royal Hawaiian Fire Grill, according to the Orange County Register. Tatum Goodwin, 27, was found dead in Laguna Beach on Nov. 12, 2023. 9-Year-Old Boy Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Loop 101CHANDLER, AZ (November 17, 2023) – 9-year-old Ilai Petersen was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on Ray Road and Loop 101, late Saturday morning.
