Four men were arrested after shooting at detectives during a traffic stop in North Miami, authorities said.According to investigators, the incident occurred when a Hyundai sedan disregarded a red traffic light at the intersection of Northeast 150th Street and Sixth Avenue, just before 11:40 p.m., Tuesday. Newly released body camera video showed a rough confrontation between a suspect and an officer in Southwest Miami-Dade. The suspect was seen swinging and punching the officer, which prompted him to reach for his Taser in order to subdue the suspect. Two men have been taken into custody after, authorities said, they led police on a brief pursuit along Interstate 95 that came to an end in Deerfield Beach.Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies on Wednesday afternoon were following a blue Bentley convertible occupied by the men, who are believed to have been involved in a carjacking in Boca Raton.The pursuit came to an end near Sample Road. Several people were evacuated from a mobile home fire after it caught on fire. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene of the mobile home at 2281 NE 135th Lane, Wednesday afternoon. All occupants were safely evacuated by rescue crews. Units were able to put out the fire. One person was taken to an area hospital Wednesday after a reported shooting in Plymouth, state police said. A state police spokesperson said troopers responded to the area of Fearing Pond Road and Doctors Pond Road near Myles Standish State Forest around 2:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a person shot. “The person has been transported to a hospital,” the spokesperson said. Rescues and cleanup efforts continued in Vermont Wednesday with help from a Massachusetts task force after devastating floods this week. Record breaking rainfall caused severe flooding in parts of the Northeast over multiple days, pushing people out of their homes and businesses and leaving behind a mess of mud and debris as waters receded.
