Vikings linebacker Jordan Hicks has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against the Chicago Bears last Sunday. There’s a good chance the Vikings don’t earn the 19-13 win over the Bears without Hicks’ heroics. He led the Vikings with 10 tackles, intercepted a pass at a key moment and also returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown. It does...

Everything seemed to fall into place, Spies said.“It was kind of destiny,” said Spies, who grew up in Itapiranga, a smaller city in one of Brazil’s southernmost states. “What I’m trying to bring here is the flavors you’ll find in Brazil — in an easy way you can eat every day.”The exterior of Little Brazil, a new market and cafe dedicated to Brazilian street foods, is shown on September 26, 2023, before its official opening in mid-October. The store offers breakfast and lunch, plus a variety of imported groceries. (Jared Kaufman / Pioneer Press)Litt...
