NEW YORK (AP) — A pair of multicolored briefs peeking out above a robbery suspect’s low-slung trousers helped police arrest him more than a year later, federal authorities in New York said Wednesday.The robbery happened at a tobacco shop in Queens on Sept. 14, 2022. Three masked men got out of a Mazda and entered the store, according to a complaint filed in federal court last week.Two of the men pointed guns at employees and customers while the third emptied the cash register and grabbed merchandise and employees’ cellphones, the complaint said. The robbers fled in the MazdaSurveillance videos that were disseminated through the media showed the third robber wearing brightly colored briefs with a large letter R in white and the year 1990 in yellow.An anonymous tipster passed along the Instagram handle of the suspect with the colorful underwear, the complaint said. DENVER (AP) — Investigators believe four men found dead inside a suburban Denver home on Tuesday died as the result of a murder-suicide, authorities said Wednesday. The men had all been shot and three of the four are believed to be related, said Sgt. Adam Sherman, a spokesperson for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. The man who is suspected of shooting the others is believed to be in his late 40s to 50s. The other men are believed to be in their 70s or 80s, he said.Investigators do not know yet what led up to the shooting, he said.The discovery was made a day after three people were fatally shot in a rural area southwest of Denver, allegedly over a property dispute between neighbors. CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman last week in Ukrainian Village.The attack happened around 5 p.m. on Nov.16 in the 2400 block of West Superior Street.According to police, the man followed the woman from the bus stop at Western Avenue and Chicago Avenue, and forcefully grabbed her into a gangway and pushed her against the stairs. (WKRN) — Members of the '80s power duo Hall & Oates are involved in a lawsuit, which appears to have reached a boiling point as Daryl Hall has filed for a restraining order against John Oates.Hall filed a complaint against Oates in Nashville Chancery Court on Nov. 16, in addition to a motion for a temporary restraining order. The court approved the motion with the restraining order to begin on Nov. 30.Little is known about the lawsuit filed by The Daryl Hall Revocable Trust against Oates’ trust, The John W. CHICAGO — Police are warning residents following an armed robbery spree Tuesday morning on the city's West Side. According to police, five armed robberies occurred between 6 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 21. The unknown offenders targeted victims who were either sitting in a vehicle or walking on the sidewalk. WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Tuesday, the Williamson County Commissioners Court accepted the results of a biennial report on adult sexual assaults. AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two children are safe and a woman was arrested after an Amber Alert was issued out of Kyle Tuesday evening.The two children had been taken by a family friend to go fishing Tuesday morning. The mother called Kyle Police at 2:33 p.m. after not hearing from them since.About 30 minutes after the Amber Alert was issued Tuesday night, neighboring Caldwell County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a vehicle that matched the description in the alert.Deputies responded to the vehicle, located in the 7000 block of Camino Real, north of Uhland. The children and suspect were taken into custody and released to Kyle police.Kyle police said Kylei Glasgow, 20, was asleep in the vehicle.
